At an all-time high: Team Mahindra Adventure at the Mt. Everest Base Camp.
Mahindra Adventure continues to uphold its legacy as a pioneer by becoming the very first Indian car maker to reach the base camp of Mt. Everest. A convoy of two XUV 5OOs, one Rexton and two Thars journeyed to the highest point of adventure at The Summit.
After a ceremonial flag off in Kathmandu, Team Mahindra Adventure set off towards Nyalam, Tibet, en route to which it faced its very first challenge. A landslide forced the convoy to brave the perils of a narrow rough road which made its way across rivers and threw the team off schedule. But after an overnight stay in Kodari, the convoy was now ready to cross the border into China through the iconic Friendship Bridge. They then drove uphill to Tingri, the last stop before their final destination, located at an altitude of 14000 ft. Like true trailblazers, the team soldiered on, with a view that became increasingly breath taking with every passing kilometre.
Fighting initial cloud cover and a temperature of -20◦C, they finally made its way towards the Mt.Everest Basecamp where the frost cleared to reveal the most magnificent view, with a new record on the horizon for Team Mahindra Adventure.
